By using SilverType services, you agree to abide by the policies set forth below. The AUP is designed to protect you, your fellow customers, and the safety, security and integrity of the servers housing your websites and email. Privacy Policy
It may be necessary for SilverType to collect personally identifiable information (ie: your name and address) in order to provide services to you. SilverType will never sell, rent, share or otherwise reveal this information to outside parties. We will take all reasonable precautions to ensure this information cannot be accessed by outside parties. We will never use your name, email or web address on our website unless you have specifically given us permission to do so. If necessary to contact you about your particular service we may do so by email or phone.
SPAM is an unfortunate reality of the Internet today. Your use of any email address will most likely result in you receiving some unsolicited email. SilverType provides SPAM and virus filtering options for all email accounts, but we can not be responsible for your receiving unsolicted email as a result of an email address provided by us.
Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
No spam! SilverType has a zero-tolerance policy on unsolicited junk email, otherwise known as SPAM. Besides being an annoyance, the sending of SPAM from our servers negatively impacts all users of our service and can result in the blacklisting of our email servers. If you are planning an email marketing campaign and have questions about the suitability of this, please contact us BEFORE you take any action and we will be happy to advise you. We offer an easy-to-use and very economical service specifically for legal, anti-spam-compliant Email Marketing.
Anyone found to be sending SPAM from a SilverType account will have their account instantly terminated, with no refunds. This applies whether the email came directly from your account, or if a SilverType-hosted domain is listed anywhere in the offending email.
The following content is not allowed on any SilverType-hosted websites:
content promoting hate, racism or prejudice due to race, nationality, color, creed, sexual orientation, religion or belief;
pornographic or any content which might be considered prurient or unsuitable
for minors by a sensible and non-prudish adult;
copyrighted or trademarked images or text which is not your own;
illegal software, images or text, including software intended to promote or
enable hacking;
streaming audio or video files, MP3s, or any other content which might cause
undue strain on the servers; cgi programs designed to screen-scrape or otherwise misuse the copyrighted content or others; any other content or software which, in the opinion of SilverType, causes a technical, legal or security risk to our servers.
While we respect your right to free speech, we reserve the right to ask you to remove any content deemed unacceptable, or to remove this content ourselves if necessary to ensure the integrity of our servers.
You or your web developer may install cgi or scripting programs on your site. We cannot provide support for programs we have not written or provided without prior agreement. SilverType can not be held responsible for any loss or damage to your data caused by incorrect operation of these programs. We ask you to fully test any such programs in another place before installation. SilverType reserves the right to remove or disable any programs found to be having a negative impact on server performance, or which might cause a security threat.
Cancel for any reason within the first 30 days and receive a full refund of your site setup fee and your hosting fee.
